Your solutions are good and I have employed them offen. Especially making list (big help) and breaking large tasks into small ones.

However, I disagree with your "fear" reasoning and your translations. Primarily, MY procrastinations are simply a result of "hating" the task to begin with. The second reason is lack of time it takes to complete the task "perfectly" because we all know it takes more time to "completely" remove that sticky soda spill from the carpet than to give it a quick swipe. (Simple example.) I'm not excusing the issues, merely giving an honest assessment for my procrastinations, and I have to constantly employ tactics to overcome them.

Phone Calls - I don't know why I hate initiating them. I suspect there's some sort of deep-seated fear of rejection there. Doesn't make sense to me, I just have to force myself (usually last minute) to make them! Now that we have automated menus, it's worse. It wasn't so bad when I could make one direct call to complete the transaction.

Just one person's experience procrastination goblins.
